The "Dare to Dream...Expect to Succeed" National College Scholarship Program

When Brainstorm was initially started, its founders were determined to do more than simply market top-of-the-line educational products. Their commitment was to design a program that would give back, on an ongoing basis, to the communities where they work and live. This was realized through the implementation of the "Dare to Dream...Expect to Succeed” national scholarship competition.

What Students Do

Participating students describe a personal dream and how they hope to attain it…utilizing any form of creative expression. Previous winning entries have included videos, collages, models, essays, photos, and paintings to express their dreams.

Winners Every Quarter

Each quarter, one top prizewinner from across the nation receives a college scholarship. Other students win computers with a library of educational software titles. Still other children receive software packages.

Schools & Teachers Win Too

Each scholarship winner’s school receives computers and software, and teachers can win valuable prizes as well. To learn more about school and teacher's entering class projects click here.

Parental Involvement

Reinforcing the philosophy of the importance of parental involvement in education, BrainstormUSA's “Dare to Dream...Expect to Succeed” program requires parents to write their own statement of support for their child and how they plan to assist them in reaching their goals. These statements must be included with the child's entry in order to qualify

Entries can be submitted any time during the year. Judging is done on a quarterly basis. Please take a moment to read the rules and regulation to become familiarized with the program.
